Gorge scrambling is a wild, wet, and totally exhilarating way to experience the natural world. Think climbing waterfalls, wading through mountain streams, sliding down smooth rock chutes, and plunging into deep, clear plunge pools – all surrounded by breathtaking scenery.

This is adventure at its best – raw, fun, and full of laughs!

Gorge scrambling is suitable for a wide range of ages and abilities – we adapt the adventure to suit the group. Perfect for:

You don’t need any experience – just a willingness to get wet and have fun!

Kit List

Activity kit (wet kit)

T-shirt (to wear under the wetsuit)
Shorts (to wear under the wetsuit)
Old pair of shorts (to wear on top of the wetsuit to protect the wetsuit and your modesty)
Old shoes/boots with firm soles and good grip (no wetsuit shoes/boots or plimsolls please)
Socks (x 2 thick pair) or waterproof socks (to wear during the activity)

Towel
Change of warm clothing following the activity

Wet suits

Wetsuits come in small (S), Medium (M), Large (L), XLarge (XL) and XXLarge (XXL). Please select the wetsuit size you require on your consent form.

You are advised that there are no changing rooms at this venue. So you may need to get changed outside or in your vehicles. So please ensure that you have the means to change without exposing yourself to the locals. It is advised that you arrive with your activity clothes already on and ready to put your wetsuit over.

Weather

High Tide Adventure Company will monitor the weather and sea swell conditions a week before the date of this session. If the conditions are not suitable on the day, you will be informed and a place will be reserved for any future sessions.

Medication

Please ensure you bring any inhalers or other medication along with you on this activity. Any medication can be kept at the communal area with access when needed throughout the day.

Amenities

There are local shops and pubs close to all the gorges we operate in. Just ask the instructor, we are always happy to help and advise on any local areas to visit, as we think it is essential to support the local economy.

PHOTOS/VIDEOS

To help you enjoy the experience, photos and videos will be taken on the day. Any photos or videos taken will also be used to help promote this activity and shared on High Tide Adventure Company’s social media pages.

Copies of any photos and videos taken on the day can always be arranged.
